I GOT PREGNANT THE DAY I GAVE MY LIFE TO CHRIST.

I GOT PREGNANT THE DAY I GAVE MY LIFE TO CHRIST.

...That cold evening, after I'd said yes to that white man that died on cross they call JESUS, I staggered home from the campus fellowship where I was introduced to this man.

I kept wondering what made me surrender to this Jesus that I never believed in. I used to feel like I've heard every shade of sermon in this world and none of them could make me change my mind from living the way I want. Is it John 3:16? I heard that everyday from the 'morning criers' that constantly visited our neighbourhood every 4am; very persistent like they knew I was persistent in surrendering my life.
Today's sermon was different, it was not just the regular John 3:16 overused metaphor. The love of Christ that was served that evening as I sat in the congregation was, if compared to a delicacy, Fried rice and chicken. A meal that I can't just forget like others, it was a meal, I would ever long for.

I staggered to my lodge at odenigwe, looking like someone who's  drunk with wine and looking for more. I fell on my bed and kept muttering these words "I'm sorry for not believing in you all these while, I'm so sorry, Emmanuel"

Tears rolled down my cheeks as I was muttering and in what seemed like five minutes later, I saw a figure walk into my room. My heart escaped my body like a caged bird would from it's cage. I was awed at the majestic aura around this figure and I couldn't move an inch. I was captivated by his awesomeness.
"You're my bride. We got married today at the fellowship. You said I do to me" He smiled, I couldn't see His face but I could feel every bit of his movement in my body. And I couldn't say a word, I was lost. Lost in love.
"We are one now, me in you and you in me. So, I have come so we can consummate our marriage, just the way every married couple do. You would love to have my child right?"
I smiled as He smiled, all my being were in affirmation to his words.
...
Jesus held me by the hand and began to show me through the scriptures all the promises and blessings He's already put in place for me. And he told me, to first of all do His will by giving birth to His child(Preaching the gospel, dreaming big to save my generation, loving Him and humanity etc) before every other thing will be added unto me.

Hence, I got pregnant the day I gave my life to Christ. Yes, pregnant with the gospel, dreams and aspirations.

What are you pregnant with?
